Birthstones
Wearing a gemstone associated with your month of birth is a tradition dating back to the 15th century, with many cultures having since developed their own list of birthstones. In English-speaking countries, the version most used was that based on the Gregorian calendar, but in 1912 a standardized list was produced by the Jewellers of America, and is now widely accepted as the definitive birthstone list.
January | Garnet |
February | Amethyst |
March | Aquamarine |
April | Diamond |
May | Emerald |
June | Pearl |
July | Ruby |
August | Peridot |
September | Sapphire |
October | Opal or Tourmaline |

Tuesday | Garnet |
Wednesday | Emerald |
Thursday | Topaz |
Friday | Diamond |

Sunday | Ruby |
